Last week, while we were all busy doing other, (hopefully) more festive things, Balloon Dad, Richard Heene, and wife Mayumi were being sentenced. Turns out, each will do about a month in the clink, though they'll serve their time consecutively so one can stay home with the children during the other's jail time. The most unique detail of the ruling (and the one sure to garner the most public support) is that both are forbidden from profiting from their elaborate hoax in any way. That means no selling of interviews, no book deals, and no reality TV shows. So there you have it: merry belated Christmas, America. It's like we all scored something delish at the after-Christmas sales.
What do you guys think of the sentence? Too harsh/not harsh enough? Tell me.
