Here on TheNest.com boards, the ladies were trying to come up with sexy ideas for Valentine’s Day. But it looks like Jack and I will likely be moving into our new apartment on V-Day itself. Not super-sexy -- in fact, moving ranks pretty high on several lists of the most stressful life events. Luckily, I already know that Jack and I are great at moving together. He's Mr. Tetris-Packer and I'm Mrs. Speed-Demon. What's more, we have a long tradition of going out for a romantic dinner the night after Valentine’s Day. The reason? NYC turns into a date-night factory on V-Day, with every restaurant plating hundreds of prix-fixe meals and turning the tables ever hour, on the hour. And after one too many mediocre $75 salmon dinners, Jack and I made a pact: No more going out the day of. So since then, we've hit our favorite restaurants the night after, when chefs can focus on cooking things just right, and we don't have to deal with wacko pricing structures.
This year, we plan to keep the tradition alive. Monday night romance: Not a bad way to start the week.
Do you guys have any out-of-the-box Valentine's Day traditions?
