Today I’m seriously wondering if Jack and I will ever figure out how to fit kids into our lives. Don’t ask me why I’m thinking about it now -- a woman’s mind is a mysterious place (yes, even to her). Now, I know what you’re going to say --“Kids don’t ‘fit into your life.’ You change your life to make room for kids.” I get it. I just don’t get how to do it. For one, there’s the issue of money. Everybody with kids says, “Just get over it -- you’ll find a way.” (I remain dubious.) But there’s also the issue of time, and that’s where my mind really gets blown. I can’t imagine fitting one more thing into my day -- or Jack’s. So I guess the answer to that one is that having kids would require a complete life overhaul for us.
What about you guys? I would love to hear from anyone out there who had a life that they had to drastically change to make room for kids. How did you do it?
