| Calling on regular partners Funkmaster Flex and Galpin Auto Sports, a trio of customized Ford Explorers will be a centerpiece of the Ford stand at this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas -- even before the redesigned SUV goes on sale. Funkmaster Flex and Team Baurtwell bring an urban theme to their Explorer. Changes include 24-inch, three-piece forged billet rims and Baer brakes. The interior features Katskin two-tone leather seats adorned with the Funkmaster Flex logo and a Sony Xplod audio system. Movie spy James Bond was the inspiration for Galpin Auto Sports in its makeover of the Explorer. The Galpin Explorer rides on 24-inch wheels. It will also have modified exterior lights and a custom silver paint job. The leather and suede interior includes an Apple iPad that rises out of the second-row console. "This is a luxury, high-end vehicle that serves multiple purposes," said Tedros Mengiste of Galpin Auto Sports. Luxury for an active owner is the theme of the Explorer customized by CGS Performance Products. It features a monochromatic silver paint job, 22-inch silver wheels and a CGS cat-back exhaust system, which provides more power and a throatier sound. It's topped off with two carbon-fiber mountain bikes on the roof rack. "This SUV is all about outdoor adventure and doing it in comfort," said Casey Scranton, president of CGS Performance Products. CGS says the custom leather interior resembles the links on a watch band. There are video screens built into the back of the front-seat headrests. Ford is also taking several Fiestas, a number of other Ford-brand vehicles and a Lincoln to its SEMA stand. These include a: -- 2011 Ford Taurus SHO by Rick Bottom Designs. -- 2011 Ford Taurus SHO by H&R Springs. -- 2011 Ford Fusion Sport by Steeda. -- 2011 Ford Edge by K-Daddyz Kustomz. -- 2011 Lincoln MKX by ID Agency.
