When it comes to husbands, the go-to Christmas gift seems to be big-ticket electronics. But I wonder: Does that still hold true even when people are scaling back? We don't have much money this year, and since we just bought our first washer and dryer on Black Friday (woo-hoo!), we agreed to keep the gift giving to small, sentimental things. Obviously, I can't say what I got Jack here. But I'm curious to hear what you got for your husbands.
I know that when I have a lower budget, I tend to buy Jack lots of little things, rather than springing for one medium-sized gift. But I'm not sure that this is a sound strategy. After all, it's kind of following in the buffet model: i.e. we offer a wide variety of crappy items. Oh well, at least we know he'll have tons of clean socks and underwear, right? So, come on, tell me what you got your guy.
