It's been 50 years since German brand Horex put a motorcycle on the road -- and based on its gorgeous, supercharged 6-cylinder VR6 model unveiled at Intermot, in Cologne, Germany, we demand to know where the heck they've been. The supernaked-style 1200cc muscle bike features a staggered 6-cylinder engine with forced induction via belt-driven supercharger, something that's been lacking on the motorcycle market. Let's turn to Gizmag for some more details on the engine:
"That engine is a 6-cylinder 1218cc jobbie with an exceptionally narrow 15-degree V layout to keep the engine fairly compact horizontally (at just 42.9 centimeters wide) and even more compact than the typical 4-cylinder engine longitudinally. Valves are operated by three overhead cams, taking advantage of the staggered cylinder configuration, and the voracious cylinders are force-fed by a belt-driven Rotrex C-series compressor."
No details on pricing yet, but by the looks of it -- not to mention the bike's phenomenal power -- this baby will be dear.
