GMC announced on Friday that the Denali trim will be added to the 2011 Sierra 3500 model in several configurations. It will be offered on the single-wheel and dualie setups, and in two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The trim will come with the standard bed or a long box.

Additionally, GMC is filling out the range by making Denali available on the two-wheel-drive 2500; originally it was just for the four-wheel drive.

That's a lot of trims and wheel configurations. But in plain English, it means if you're a heavy trucker and need to take care of business with a touch of class, Denali has you covered.

The dressings include the chrome Denali four-bar grille, body-colored bumpers, chrome door handles and 17-, 18- or 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. Inside is brushed-aluminum trim, a Bose sound system and optional heated and cooled leather.

GMC also told AutoWeek that the Acadia crossover will get Denali trim.

The new Sierra line of heavy-duty trucks was revealed in March in St. Louis. It features bolstered Vortec V8 and Duramax diesel engines, as well as redone chassis parts, though the exterior is largely unchanged. The new line goes on sale this summer.

“We received such an overwhelming response to the new Sierra Denali 2500HD that we worked quickly and decided to extend the model into the 3500HD series so those GMC buyers can also benefit from blending capability with premium features and styling,” said Lisa Hutchinson, GMC product marketing director.
